If you're installing IP cameras that aren't connected directly to an NVR then the chances are you will need a POE switch. A POE switch works like a normal switch but also adds power down the network cable from the ports. Devices, such as IP CCTV Cameras, that require power via a network cable can then be powered on.
The 16 port POE Switch has 16 standard POE ports as well as 2 dedicated uplink ports.
